In the Willow Oak room, we have a strong focus on building independence and self-help skills, providing children with the opportunity to learn through trial and error.  

What we are learning

In the Willow Oak room, our active babies are learning to:

      • Walk, run, climb
      • Engage and play with others
      • Self feed with utensils
      • Start to name objects and items
      • Use words such as mine and I

Flexible Room Routine

6.30- 8.30 Breakfast /  Family grouping / Transition to room
8.30 – 9.30 Greeting Children and Families / Play-based learning
9.45 – 10.30 Morning tea
10.30 – 11.30 Play-based learning – Educators will provide a range of planned and spontaneous experiences
11.30-12.30 Lunchtime
12.30 – 2.00 Sleep time
2.00 – 2.30 Afternoon tea
2.30 -5.00 Play-based learning – Educators will provide a range of planned and spontaneous experiences including  reading stories, dance and songs
5.00 – 6.30 Transition to family grouping / Late snack
