Chestnut Oak (3-4y)

In our Chestnut Oak room, we have a strong focus on child-led experiences and projects. Listening and responding to the children’s voice and answering the common question of ‘but why?’

What we are learning

In the Chestnut Oak room, our Pre kinder children are learning to

  • Hop , jump, climb and build on coordination
  • Share and take turns
  • Set up meal routines, serve food
  • Pack up after our play and care for the environment
  • Develop and maintain friendship groups
  • Manipulate tools such as scissors
  • Speak in sentences
  • Develop agency physically and in communication

 Our learning environment provides open and natural spaces that allow the children to explore and create  play and learning  . With defined play spaces and accessible open ended materials children are encouraged to create , think and problem solve individually and in groups
